PARISH ROOM FACILITIES

Wiveton Parish Room has a main hall, a kitchen, a fully accessible disabled toilet and a gated outdoor grassed area behind the hall.

MAIN HALL

The floor space is approximately 5 metres wide x 8 metres long. The room is heated by electric radiators, and there is a real coal fire.

The maximum occupancy for the main hall is:

80 people standing or seated on chairs
44 people seated at tables

Please do not exceed these numbers as they are set by fire safety guidelines.

Square tables, lightweight trestle tables and stackable chairs are provided.

There is also a projector screen for showing films and presentations.

KITCHEN

The kitchen has been fully updated to include built in kitchen units, a hatch and a serving area to the main hall.

There is also:

an electric range cooker with 2 ovens, a grill and 5 hotplates
a fridge
electric hot water heater
a hand washing basin

There are towels and tea towels in one of the drawers.

In addition, there is a comprehensive range of catering equipment.

FULLY ACCESSIBLE DISABLED TOILET

The toilet is fully accessible for wheelchair users, and it has a hand washing basin and an electric hot water heater.

GATED OUTDOOR GRASSED AREA

There is a small grassed area at the rear of the hall.

If you use this area please ensure it is left clear at the end of your booking with all rubbish bagged and taken away.

FIRE SAFETY RULES

There is no smoking allowed inside or outside of the hall, including the garden area at the rear, the grassed area at the front and both access paths on each side.
The following equipment is available to bring a small fire under control:

2x Portable fire extinguishers, CO2 for the main hall and Power for the kitchen. Both are inspected annually.
A fire blanket in the kitchen.

There is a fire exit door with a push bar in the main hall.
A copy of the evacuation instructions in the event of a fire are displayed in the main hall and kitchen:

TELL THE FIREFIGHTERS WHEN THEY ARRIVE IF ANYONE IS STILL INSIDE THE BUILDING AND GIVE THEM AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE ABOUT THE FIRE AND THE BUILDING
